Newspaper & Cardboard, Commingled Glass, Aluminum & Plastic
REMEMBER: RECYCLING SAVES TAXPAYERS DOLLARS!!!
Containers are available at the Municipal Building – $8.25/container.
Tarps are also available at the Township Hall if anyone wants to take extra trash to the landfill.
Vehicles must be covered with these approved tarps.
Recycling will be every other Wednesday, including white goods, which are:
stoves, washers, window air conditioners, freezers & refrigerators (with the doors off)
- Trash Collection – Every Wednesday
- Recycling Day – Every other Wednesday, including white goods
- Used motor oil & Antifreeze (9AM- 12 noon) at Carneys Point Road Department,
Pennsgrove-Auburn Road (LIMIT: 5 Gallons at a time)
Newspaper/print – Paper must be tied with twine or taped with masking tape.
Cardboard – Must be flattened, tied and bundled. Acceptable cardboard includes layered brown cardboard with an inside waffle layer.
Commingled Recyclables – *Aluminum, tin bimetal cans *Glass-Blown, green or clear *Plastic containers -milk, water, soda and detergent. Plastic containers, if possible, should be crushed. If gallon jugs have handles, then they should be tied together. Can be placed in clear plastic bags.
Place in Trash -*Bulk items such as rugs (tied in 4 ft bundles) and furniture *Wood tied in 4 ft. bundles. *Plastic toys-these are not considered recyclables.
Tire Recycling – Not available at this time.
Used Motor Oil & Old Batteries – Drop off location is at the Carneys Point Road Department Facility located on Pennsgrove Auburn Rd. No more than 5 gallons are permitted at one time. Drop off will be from 9 AM – 12 PM only on days stated on the recycling calendar. No contaminated oil allowed. Businesses are not included in the program. Please make every effort to comply with the rules in order to maintain good relationships with our neighboring community.

Events are ALWAYS held on the third Saturday of April and October each year from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 non at the Salem County Solid Waste Facility 36 McKillip Road off Route 540 Alloway. Participation limited to Salem County Residents at no charge. For more info call 856-935-7900 ext 21
