Oldmans Township Recycles
REMEMBER: RECYCLING SAVES TAXPAYERS DOLLARS!!!
Containers are available at the Municipal Building at no cost.
Tarps are also available at the Township Hall if anyone wants to take extra trash to the landfill.
Vehicles must be covered with these approval tarps.
Recycling will be every other Friday starting January 12th, including white goods, which are:
stoves, washers, window air conditioners, freezers & refrigerators (with the doors off)
Newspaper/print - Paper must be tied with twine or taped with masking tape. Please DO NOT put in bags.
Cardboard - Must be flattened, tied and bundled. Acceptable cardboard includes layered brown cardboard with an inside waffle layer. All others are to be thrown away as trash.
Commingled Recyclables - *Alluminum, tin bimetal cans *Glass-Blown, green or clear *Plastic containers -milk, water, soda and detergent. Plastic containers, if possible, should be crushed. If gallon jugs have handles, then they should be tied together. DO NOT PUT INTO PLASTIC BAGS.
Place in Trash -*Bulk items such as rugs (tied in 4 ft bundles) and furniture *Wood or branches tied in 4 ft. bundles *Motor Oil Containers -should be drained well and put into weekly trash *Plastic toys-these are not considered recyclables.
Tire Recycling - Next scheduled day is Saturday, September 15th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Used Motor Oil & Old Batteries - Drop off location is at the Carneys Point Road Department Facility located on Pennsgrove Auburn Rd. No more than 5 gallons are permitted at one time. Drop off will be from 9 AM - 12 PM only on days stated on the recycling calendar. No contaminated oil allowed. Businesses are not included in the program. Please make every effort to comply with the rules in order to maintain good relationships with our neighboring community.
